Job Summary
Maintain impeccable cleanliness in all areas, including surfaces, floors, restrooms, and common areas in accordance with established protocols and schedules. Adhere to health and safety guidelines, OSHA policies, and ensure all chemicals and equipment are secured. Communicate effectively with customers, children, and employees while reporting maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the Supervisor. Assist other team members and perform additional duties as needed, including turnover for special events such as weddings, funerals, and Wacipi. Valid Class D driver's license required; ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work on feet 100% of time. Join the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Public Works Team, contributing to a mission of regional economic development and environmental stewardship through the Native Green initiative.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and speak English clearly
- Valid Class D driver's license with a good driving record
- Proficiency in maintaining safety while handling potential fumes, chemicals, odors, and/or noise
- Ability to move in a variety of motions including bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, twisting, pulling, and/or pushing
- Capacity to handle and lift up to 60 lbs. as needed
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations, including on feet 100% of time
- Must be available to work weekends and events that may arise with little notice
