Job Summary
Part-time Facilities Custodian responsible for cleaning and janitorial duties across a large church and school campus (over 20 acres, 7 buildings, ~150,000 sq ft). On-site role with Sunday mornings and weekday evenings shifts. Duties include following cleaning schedules for classrooms, common areas, restrooms, gymnasiums, offices, and entrances; disinfecting and sanitizing bathrooms; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming; dusting; washing windows/walls; replenishing supplies; handling trash and recyclables; basic maintenance (changing light bulbs, minor repairs); assisting with setup/tear down of classrooms, meeting rooms, and event spaces; communicating supply needs; and ensuring safety standards. Requires strong English communication, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Familiarity with OHSA safety practices and proper handling of cleaning chemicals is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- at least 2 years experience cleaning and maintaining commercial property
- valid driver’s license
- ability to drive church vehicles on campus
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- English language and customer service skills
- ability to pass background check via fingerprinting and drug screen
