Job Summary
Facilities Coordinator role supporting a busy Facilities Helpdesk across a retail estate. You’ll manage maintenance requests, allocate and coordinate contractors, support reactive and planned maintenance across mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and building fabric, maintain logs and asset information in CAFM, review invoices and job sheets for timeliness and cost, and liaise with Store and Area Managers to keep operations running smoothly while delivering strong customer service. Requires experience in contractor management in a multi-site retail or commercial setting, understanding of maintenance and statutory compliance, and strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Desirable Level 3 IWFM or IOSH qualification; IT literacy (Excel, Outlook, Word); English and Maths proficiency. Salary £26,389 with 30 days holiday, pension, staff discount; shifts 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm, five days out of six (Mon–Sat). Location: Hull and Melton, UK.
Required Qualifications
- Experience allocating and managing contractors, ideally in a multi-site retail or commercial environment
- Understanding of reactive and planned maintenance, and statutory compliance
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible, proactive, “can-do” approach
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good IT literacy (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Good standard of English and Maths
- Level 3 IWFM or IOSH qualification (desirable)
