Job Summary
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment by overseeing janitorial and custodial services for bathrooms, hallways, laundry rooms, and kitchens. Schedule outside services for preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and future improvements while tracking expenses and managing physical asset inventories. Recommend and implement new safety procedures, create facility-specific manuals, and build relationships with external providers. Report on all maintenance activities and collaborate with the Program Manager on budget and timelines. Requires a valid driver's license, three years of facility operations experience, and knowledge of legal and safety laws.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Three (3) year's experience overseeing day-to-day operations of a facility
- Must have prior experience with legal and safety laws
- Must have valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Valid California Driver's License
- Current automobile insurance in compliance with agency requirements
- Able to maintain a level of teachability, integrity and professionalism
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds
- Must have close vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must successfully complete a background check
- Must successfully complete a TB test
Desired Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or enrollment in undergraduate program
- Experience working with agencies that serve the unhoused
- Experience in working with people with mental illness
