Job Summary
Develop Project Management Plans, create and maintain project schedules, and prepare cost estimates for large-scale water and wastewater treatment facilities. Provide construction management oversight during all project phases, manage sub-consultants and technical resources, and coordinate with the client and inspection staff. Review contractor work to ensure compliance with plans, approve monthly requisitions, and handle change orders while reporting project status. Work 25% office and 75% field, requiring travel and outdoor exposure in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of construction experience serving as a Construction Manager, Construction Management Representative, Owner's Representative or project manager
- Minimum of 5 years water/wastewater facilities construction management experience
- Multiple construction trades and close coordination with the Owner on construction issues
- Knowledge and experience working with Municipalities on project costs and budgets, processing change requests, requests for information, submittals, and inspectors' daily reports
- Experience using project management/document management software (examples include: Unifier, Procore, eBuilder, etc) to communicate construction progress and process documentation
- Experience reviewing engineering designs, contractor shop drawings and/or vendor specifications and plans, or similar, to determine constructability and practicality of proposed work and adherence to established standards and requirements
- Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour construction safety training
- Commissioning and outage experience with water/wastewater plants
