Job Summary
Develop Project Management Plans, oversee construction project delivery across all phases, and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates. Prepare formal responses to contractor notices, submit monthly progress reports, and review requests for changes. Lead and manage team members through continuous performance management, coaching, and goal setting while coordinating with clients, sub-consultants, and technical resources. Provide technical analysis for contract documents and design reviews, including constructability assessments and proposal evaluations. Work in both office and field environments, with 25% to 75% field time involving site inspections and safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural or a related field from an accredited engineering, construction management or architectural program
- 15+ years' experience in a construction related discipline
- Registered Professional Engineer in VA, MD, or DC
- Experience with Microsoft 365 including Power BI, and Procore
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong work ethic
- Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
- Work is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment
- Office to field time is approximately 25% to 75% respectively
- Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site
- Field work may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
- Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required
Desired Qualifications
- CCM or PMP certificate
- LEED AP
- OSHA Certifications
- Experience working with city, county state or federal governmental agencies
- Project management and business development experience
- Experience with various project delivery methods i.e. Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3
- Experience managing multidiscipline project teams
