Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee all architectural and engineering design activities for vertical facility projects, integrating design disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection. Support project management efforts by managing schedule coordination, scope development, and consultant oversight while reviewing cost estimates and technical deliverables to ensure alignment with budgets. Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and State Highway Administration requirements through site visits, dialogue with field staff, and issue resolution. Facilitate coordination with federal, state, and local agencies to drive successful project execution from planning through design. Full-time on-site role at Maryland SHA's Hanover, MD offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related engineering
- 5-8 years of engineering/construction experience focused on Buildings/Facilities
- Excellent English language skills both written and verbal
- Ability to evaluate and review construction administrative activities related to safety, quality, cost and schedule of various projects
- Evaluation of construction documents – drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Ability to visit work sites, dialogue with field staff, gather data and report findings to supervisors
- Full-time on-site at Maryland SHA's offices in Hanover, MD
Desired Qualifications
- CMIT, CACM, CCM, PMP Certification, preferred
