Job Summary
Oversee building, equipment, and grounds maintenance to ensure cleanliness and safety. Perform routine repairs on warehouse and office spaces, including refrigeration, doors, and power equipment. Monitor interior and exterior areas for sanitation, health, and safety standards per Feeding America, AIB, and USDA guidelines. Schedule inspections and emergency repairs with vendors while managing their work and relationships. Prepare the facility for weather changes and serve as trainer for powered equipment. Maintain fiscal responsibility within budget and follow all safety procedures. Works independently and collaboratively with departments to support the Food Bank mission.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- high school or equivalency diploma
- valid New York State driver's license
- ability to obtain and maintain power equipment certification
- ability to lift up to 80 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to alter their physical position or change eye focus
- Must be able to safely use power equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience
- experience operating power equipment
