Job Summary
The Facilities & Asset Protection Manager is a leadership role responsible for building and site maintenance, safety, security, and asset protection across Grocery Outlet’s Regional Distribution Centers. Key responsibilities include establishing facility maintenance standards, leading site security and theft prevention programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations including OSHA, and overseeing the performance of maintenance and operational expenditures. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree and possess 7-10 years of facility management experience in relevant environments while demonstrating strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of facility management experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and life-safety requirements for warehouse environments
- Strong working knowledge of building and facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and MHE
- Ability to travel as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience directly leading asset protection and site security functions
- Experience supporting multi-site industrial facilities
- Experience developing preventative maintenance programs from the ground up
- Demonstrated success managing third-party service providers and facility maintenance contracts
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement practical solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CAD, CMMS/PM systems, and maintenance documentation tools
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, train, and develop maintenance or facility teams
- Experience managing or supporting automated or semi-automated systems (conveyors, controls, ASRS, sortation preferred)
