Job Summary
Facilities and Projects Manager leads the maintenance and custodial team across all Ocaquatics Swim School locations, performing hands-on repairs and coordinating facility projects. The role requires hands-on facility support, strong bilingual communication in English and Spanish, leadership to develop and manage the maintenance/custodial staff, and oversight of preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, and project timelines across multiple sites. The position may begin as a Manager in Training before transitioning to the full Facilities and Projects Manager title, with responsibilities including managing facilities, equipment, pools, and safety, while ensuring timely project delivery and cost-conscious operations. The role involves travel between locations, responding to urgent facility needs, and upholding Ocaquatics’ values. First-year objectives include building trust with the team, developing location managers and operations leaders, and implementing consistent maintenance and project-tracking processes. First 90 days emphasize hands-on competence, relationship-building, and clear communication in both languages. First year focuses on leading a service-oriented team, maintaining safe and welcoming facilities, improving preventive maintenance, and strengthening vendor relationships and asset planning.
Required Qualifications
- Full bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- General facility maintenance experience
- Pool systems and aquatic facility operations
- Pumps, filters, heaters, and related pool equipment
- HVAC and dehumidification systems
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
- General repairs and maintenance
- Vendor coordination

- Preventive maintenance systems
- Custodial operations and cleanliness standards
- AFO, CPO, or similar aquatic facility certification, or willingness and ability to obtain certification
