Job Summary
Facilities and Maintenance Technician I performs custodial and maintenance duties to support the safety, availability, reliability, cleanliness and aesthetics of DPM vehicles and facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles and facilities, picking up and delivering materials, removing debris from guideway and storm drains, snow removal, basic labor, light repairs, operating a motor vehicle with a valid license, attending safety and driver training, analyzing anomalous vehicle and guideway conditions, assisting Mechanical and Electronic Technicians on sub-systems, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read safety protocols and manuals, ability to perform snow removal and chemical handling, use of powered equipment, and passing a background check, physical and drug screening; may require non-regular hours for events. Working both indoors and outdoors in various conditions; may lift up to 50 lbs; must maintain DPM certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some general labor experience preferred
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass complete physical examination and drug screen
- Must have a driver’s record compliant to ‘DTC Driving Policy’
- Must maintain certification/re-certification of DPM task requirements
