Job Summary
Weekend-shift Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Technician at a distribution center, responsible for maintenance and repair of conveyor systems (MDR and line shaft), utilization of WMS and CMMS for maintenance scheduling and workflow optimization, safety compliance (lock-out/tag-out), inventory management for spare parts, coordination with contractors/vendors (HVAC, generators, electrical, fire safety, pest control, janitorial), and ensuring safe, efficient operation of the facility; requires proficiency with pneumatics/electrical systems, CAD/IPB literacy, and ability to train others while supporting continuous improvement initiatives (5S) in a high-volume DC environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Conveyor system repair and preventative maintenance experience
- Strong aptitude with tools for equipment repairs
- Basic understanding of blueprints and schematics; troubleshoot/analyze problems
- Experience in a distribution center or equipment maintenance environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; teamwork
- Ability to train and mentor others; occasional on-call coverage
- Working knowledge of automation systems using WMS & CMMS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; PC skills for CMMS/WMS
