Job Summary
Perform repair and general maintenance on the facility, building, and grounds, including carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and locksmith tasks. Troubleshoot minor issues with equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, and conduct routine inspections for fire extinguishers and first aid kits. Build and dismantle warehouse racking, remove snow and ice from exterior entrances, and interact with vendors for specialized trades. Maintain accurate preventative maintenance records, order supplies, and ensure the site meets sanitation guidelines for auditing companies. Work Monday through Friday until tasks are complete, reporting issues to management as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of building maintenance experience
- preferably in warehouse distribution environment
- Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques
- Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of the warehouse distribution center
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions
- Skill in using hand and power tools
- Ability to operate pallet jack
- Ability to operate forklift
- Ability to operate various warehouse equipment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying degrees of skill
- Ability to handle follow up and resolution of maintenance and repair responsibilities
- Ability to interface with peers, team members, other departments as well as all levels of Management
- Ability to work Monday- Friday: 1:00pm- Until work is complete
- Ability to work Monday - Friday 7 AM to 3:30 PM
