Job Summary
Assess participant referrals for program eligibility and risk of recidivism, then conduct intake for eligible referrals. Facilitate individualized psychoeducational trainings and Cognitive Based Intervention groups using Moral Reconation Therapy and Interactive Journaling models within correctional facilities. Deliver one-on-one Cognitive Based Interventions and Step by Step life skill workshops for women two to four times weekly. Develop and adapt the Step by Step curriculum as needed while promoting program offerings to inmates and correctional facility staff. Maintain detailed case notes, document all group activities, and complete reports to ensure all obligations are met. Full-time, M-F days in Rochester, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in a behavioral or social science program from an accredited college or university
- Minimum three years experience in counseling, case management or a similar field
- Ability to pass federal background check
- Clean NYS Drivers License
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Strong organizational skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- COVID 19 Vaccination

- Experience working with people who have been incarcerated
