Job Summary
Special Education Facilitator is responsible for promoting and supporting compliance with state and federal special education regulations, protecting procedural safeguards for students and parents, and providing technical assistance to teachers and administrators on special education topics. Lead and deliver professional development on evidence-based practices, promote appropriate specially designed instruction within the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE), provide feedback on IEP development and implementation, collaborate with staff and principals on issues related to special education law and procedures, stay current on procedures/regulations, facilitate groups, and travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for or possesses Kansas Special Education Licensure
- Graduate degree in Special Education or Related Field
- Minimum of Five years of experience in special education
- Experience and proficiency in State and Federal Regulations, Statues and Procedures
