Job Summary
Collaborate with teachers as a co-teacher to plan, analyze student data, and implement instructional shifts tied to district initiatives and needs assessments. Support school-wide academic strategies and monitor student outcomes to drive data-informed instruction. Work with the Office of Teaching and Learning and school improvement teams to execute goals, while communicating achievement updates to parents and guardians. Maintain records of academic resources, assist with grant writing, and develop recognition programs to foster a positive student-focused climate.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Rhode Island driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the District
- A valid Rhode Island teaching certificate
- Experience at the middle school level
- Experience in collaborating with colleagues in a mentoring role
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the related Laws of Rhode Island
- Knowledge of the BEP
- Knowledge of the policies, regulations and procedures of the Pawtucket School Department
- Knowledge of the Rhode Island Department of Education
- Knowledge of Instructional materials and their relationship to program goals and objectives
- Knowledge of Title-I Schoolwide Program Requirements under ESSA- School Improvement Plan
- Knowledge of Evaluation and accountability processes
- Knowledge of Principles of effective management, and engaging instruction which enhances school success
- Knowledge of Response to Intervention Processes
- Knowledge of Principles of teaching and learning- evidence- based interventions
- Knowledge of Data Analysis Techniques
- Knowledge of Effective classroom management strategies
- Knowledge of Effective strategies for fostering a positive school culture
- Knowledge of Professional learning community organization and protocols
- Skills in Public speaking
- Skills in writing

- Skills in problem solving
- Skills in working with individuals and groups through the coaching cycle
- Skills in Research and use of instructional technology/ data analysis
