Job Summary
Design competency-based, project-based learning experiences in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies that connect academic content to students' identities and real-world issues. Facilitate student mastery through rigorous, accessible units where learners demonstrate skills via portfolios, exhibitions, and public presentations rather than traditional testing. Provide differentiated instruction, clear feedback, and coaching to support students with varied needs, including those with IEPs, multilingual learners, and executive functioning challenges. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to calibrate expectations, refine rubrics, and ensure consistency across courses while maintaining high expectations and a culture of belonging. Work closely with families, special education staff, and community partners to advocate for student growth and postsecondary readiness.
