Job Summary

Lead engaging tabletop experiences by teaching board games, running Dungeons & Dragons sessions, and managing group flow for adult and kids audiences. Facilitate social, corporate, and community events while creating welcoming spaces and handling day-of issues with professionalism. Support afterschool clubs, summer camps, and private events by pacing activities, explaining rules clearly, and ensuring participants feel included. This part-time, event-based role requires availability for weekly afterschool clubs, monthly one-shots, and three or more events per month. Compensation ranges from $25 to $40 per event hour depending on program type and experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience facilitating board games, D&D, or other tabletop programming
  • Experience working with adults, kids, or ideally both
  • Strong group facilitation and communication skills
  • Reliability and professionalism
  • Good judgment, adaptability, and comfort solving problems in real time
  • A genuine enthusiasm for tabletop games and sharing them with others
  • Availability for at least one weekly afterschool kids club, typically 4:00pm–6:00pm on a weekday
  • Availability for at least two one-shots per month
  • Availability for 3 or more events per month
  • Availability should include afternoons and/or evenings

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience teaching modern board games to new players
  • Experience running D&D for both children and adults
  • Experience in afterschool programs, camps, classrooms, or youth programming
  • Experience facilitating social or corporate events
  • Ability to support multiple types of Dogpatch Games programming
