Job Summary
Organize, disseminate, and monitor reading and writing programs for quality assurance while conducting regular classroom visits to observe, coach, and model effective teaching strategies. Lead building-level professional development activities aligned to prioritized school goals through collaboration, coaching, and teacher conferences that provide specific, actionable feedback. Utilize data from multiple sources to identify student learning trends, set goals, and modify instruction to increase achievement in accordance with school improvement plans. Establish cooperative relationships with families, school personnel, and the community while developing feedback documentation for administrators.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience
- Valid NC teaching license in K-5 or K-12 Reading or MG ELA or HS Reading
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license or ability to provide own transportation
- Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings
