Facilitator - College and Career - High School

Job Summary
Provide support to students and parents in effective college and career planning for grades 9-12, coordinating the transition of Katy ISD students into post-secondary and/or career endeavors, and developing a comprehensive CCMR program. Plan, schedule, organize, and deliver CCMR activities; sponsor and supervise activities promoting goal setting and career planning; lead School Links, FAFSA/TASFA completion, and postsecondary readiness activities; oversee CCMR testing (TSIA, SAT/ACT, ASVAB) and maintain a college and career center; build partnerships with college dual credit and career/technical programs and with military recruiters; conduct classroom guidance and host evening/weekend sessions for families; collect data to evaluate CCMR programs; collaborate with UIL coaches and campus leadership; ensure FAFSA/TASFA completion, college applications, and scholarship processes; stay current on financial aid and post-secondary testing; participate in professional development and implement district/state standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a school counselor, college and career advisor, or with college, career, military readiness (CCMR)
- Knowledge of financial aid, FAFSA/TAFSA, college admissions, and post-secondary testing (SAT/ACT/TSIA) strongly preferred
- Experience in facilitating and providing training and public presentations
- Strong technical and analytical abilities
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Knowledge of high school transcripts, current graduation requirements and enrollment
- Ability to lead groups and individuals in a positive manner
- Knowledge of the NCAA Eligibility Center requirements
- Knowledge of dual credit program, including dual credit student support services
