Job Summary

Conduct participant interviews, onboarding, and psychosocial assessments using a trauma-informed approach to identify social, emotional, and environmental factors impacting engagement. Deliver structured non-clinical coaching, wellness check-ins, and workshops promoting self-care and resilience while maintaining accurate case documentation and referral records. Coordinate wrap-around services for housing, food insecurity, and mental health needs, and facilitate timely referrals to clinical providers. Build strong relationships with members and alumni to monitor attendance, progress, and emerging support needs through daily check-ins. Collaborate with the Community Engagement & Intake Worker, Industry Liaison, and external agencies to ensure coordinated service delivery and program retention. Work full-time with occasional evenings and weekends, reporting to the Director of Programs & Community Services.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of post-secondary education in social work, psychology, education, community development, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in program facilitation, youth engagement, social services, or workforce development
  • Experience working with Black youth and communities through culturally responsive and anti-oppressive approaches
  • Some experience working with participants with mental health and/or substance use
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentorship skills
  • Lived experience in or strong understanding of and ability to navigate the criminal justice system
  • Strong capacity to develop authentic, impactful relationships with youth and families involved in or impacted by the criminal justice system
  • Ability to support individuals experiencing barriers related to mental health, trauma, or systemic inequities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Zoom, and related digital tools
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention
  • Valid driver's license
