Job Summary
Lead small group activities and individual discussions to reinforce workshop content and assess participant skill levels, education needs, and industry experience. Guide clients through the assessment process to identify barriers and strengths, then reinforce curriculum while developing individual plans for job readiness. Provide information, referrals, and follow-up to facilitate participation in employment training, educational services, and job search activities. Assist with resume development, interview preparation, and enrollment into partnering institutions to support self-sufficiency goals. Document all client communications and services for reporting. Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, requiring a valid driver's license and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree related experience in Social Work, Psychology, Communications, Human Relations, or related field
- Experience with community and/or family engagement within low-income communities
- Experience with exposure and understanding of trauma-informed care as a guiding principle of working with people of diverse populations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required
- Ability to demonstrate motivational interviewing techniques
- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be very comfortable with public speaking and be able to communicate ideas, advice, feedback and critiques professionally and concisely in individual and group settings
- Must own the process and outcome of equipping participants for success in the labor market
- Must have a valid Driver License
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a mentoring or advising role
- Experience with ETO, SalesForce, Oracle, or similar client-based database management platforms
- Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in Oklahoma
- Established relationships with community providers
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with mastery level knowledge and experience
