Job Summary
Read and interpret fabrication drawings to assemble metal components according to technical specifications. Fabricate, cut, shape, and weld steel structures using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment while maintaining strict quality and dimensional standards. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and inspect finished welds to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety procedures. Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to meet project deadlines while adhering to health and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- SVQ/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication and Welding Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Training in Abrasive Wheels and Manual Handling (or willingness to undertake training)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good time management and reliability
- High level of attention to detail
