Job Summary
Fabricate, weld, and repair oilfield equipment while maintaining accurate dimensional tolerances and working from drawings, blueprints, and verbal instructions. Clean and maintain welding equipment, flag time worked, and write stories. Adhere to safety procedures and handle heavy materials manually and with machinery using general tools for minor mechanical duties. Read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, blueprints, and technical bulletins. Work 8–10 hour days including overtime as needed, with frequent exposure to outside weather elements. Requires ability to bend, stoop, crawl, walk, and sit regularly while lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience with fabrication and welding on both metal and aluminum
- Must be able to handle heavy materials manually and with machinery
- Must have general tools to perform minor mechanical duties
- Ability to read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, blueprints, and various other technical bulletins
- Ability to use computer keyboard and Windows basics
- Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to outside weather elements
- Ability to work 8 - 10 hour days, including overtime hours as needed
- Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, walk and sit on a regular basis with frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Formal technical training degree, certificate or diploma preferred or equivalent work experience
