Job Summary

Operate manual fabrication machinery and welding equipment to manufacture precision measurement tools, performing advanced MIG, TIG, and arc welding on complex components. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to lead or support prototype fabrication and process development while utilizing CNC metal fabrication equipment. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and quality teams to resolve design issues, ensure adherence to safety standards, and contribute to lean initiatives. Maintain an organized work environment and follow approved processes to deliver finished goods on time. Work Monday through Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm as a contracted employee of JARBO Employment Group.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of welding/fabrication experience
  • completion of a technical welding program
  • equivalent experience to schooling in machining, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of welding techniques and metalworking practices
  • proficiency with multiple welding processes
  • Strong ability to work from complex engineering documentation
  • independently troubleshoot fabrication issues
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Frequent moderate physical effort
  • Use hands and fingers to control, handle and feel objects
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds when necessary
  • Ability to see details of an object from a distance and close-up
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate simple computer software programs
  • Ability to read and input programs into machinery
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to take and understand measurements in millimeters
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form

Desired Qualifications

  • Schooling in machining, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles
