Job Summary
Measure, cut, punch, bend, and fasten chassis and face panels and sub-assemblies for scoreboard products. Inspect metal sheets for flaws and verify dimensions with measuring tape. Operate plasma tables, shear, brakes, CNC, and other fabrication equipment. Read and interpret drawings to layout and cut sheet metal per design. Inspect fabricated sub-assemblies for correctness before transfer. Move materials between departments and wear PPE when using tools. This hourly temporary position is based in Houston, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Must demonstrate the ability to properly handle and modify sheet metal to an acceptable quality level
- Must be able to utilize hand tools and measuring equipment
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work safely
- Must be able to perform basic math skills and read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch
