Job Summary
Read blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings to determine pipe layout and fabrication requirements. Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and plastic piping systems according to specifications. Fabricate pipe sections, supports, and hangers using cutting torches, saws, threading machines, and hydraulic benders. Install piping systems for water, steam, gas, oil, and chemical distribution applications while ensuring all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 2-10 Years
- comprehensive knowledge of pipe fabrication, installation, and maintenance
- proven expertise in pipe threading
- proven expertise in pipe bending
- interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and assemble pipes and pipe fittings
- Fabricate pipe sections, supports, and hangers
- Install piping systems for various applications including water, steam, gas, oil, and chemical distribution systems
- Perform pipe threading operations using manual and power threading machines
- Execute precise pipe bending operations using hydraulic benders, manual benders, and other specialized equipment
- Assemble and secure pipes
