Job Summary
Fabricate, layout, position, align, fit, and weld structural metal parts, pipe, and sanitary process piping using MIG, TIG, plasma, and orbital welding techniques. Operate fabricating machines including shears, drill presses, pipe benders, and band saws to bend, cut, form, and assemble components. Verify conformance to specifications using measuring tools and move parts manually or with hoists and cranes. 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM); overtime, weekends, and holidays may be mandatory. Bolthouse Fresh Foods, a leader in carrot production, supplies premium natural ingredients for the food and beverage industry across North America.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or two to five years' experience in related field or combination of both education and experience
- Candidates must have a verifiable history of safe vehicle operation and meet company standards for driving eligibility
- This includes maintaining a clean driving record, which will be verified through a background check
- Work safely and efficiently
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to competently weld stainless and carbon steel using MIG and TIG processes
- Detail-oriented and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Able to perform a broad range of duties
- Good communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of basic mathematic skills
- Pass and maintain forklift certification
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, using 3-point contact on a regular basis when assigned to perform work duties
- Ability to use hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, and handle scanning objects in one position or in a repetitive motion for an extended period
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs
- Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Shear and break experience preferred but willing to train
- Sanitary process piping experience
- Orbital welder experience but willing to train
