Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, and modify metal components and structures according to drawings, specifications, and work orders. Cut, drill, grind, shape, and prepare materials for fabrication and assembly while operating saws, grinders, drill presses, and ironworkers. Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication details to verify dimensions and ensure products meet design specifications and quality standards. Inspect components for accuracy, fit, finish, and structural integrity, correcting issues before release. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while managing inventory and handling materials. Collaborate with project managers, installers, welders, and field technicians to complete projects accurately. Requires 2+ years of fabrication experience, ability to lift 75 pounds, and valid driver's license. Located in Phoenix, AZ; full-time role reporting to the General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of fabrication experience in a manufacturing, construction, or metal fabrication environment
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a fabrication shop environment for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Ability to safely operate shop tools and fabrication equipment
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Experience fabricating gates, fencing, access control infrastructure, or commercial security products
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick)
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
- Experience working with structural steel and aluminum
- Construction or low-voltage industry experience
