Job Summary
Fabricator role responsible for using metal fabrication techniques to bend, shape, weld, fasten and fabricate metal frames, rails, supports and related components for conveyance systems. Requires reading prints to layout and fabricate metal assemblies, operating fabrication equipment (MIG Welder, Press Brake, Roll Former, Grinder, Drill, Iron Worker, etc.), using layout tools and measurement instruments, performing quality checks, and maintaining equipment and work area. Must follow safety guidelines, log job activity, and meet ISO 9001 quality standards; able to work in a team-oriented environment and lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred welding certification and some electrical background.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in fabrication steel and welding
- Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications
- Detailed approach to daily work activities
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to fabrication assignments
- Able to work in a team-oriented work environment
- Preferred: Welding certification
- Preferred: Some background with electrical work
