Job Summary
Operate press brake and other manual fabrication equipment to manufacture parts according to prints and work orders, performing quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Package finished products by applying labels and palletizing, while gathering and staging work to maintain a clean environment. Communicate with department leadership regarding issues and improvements. This full-time, 2nd shift position runs Monday through Thursday from 2:30pm to 1:00am with overtime as needed and a $2.00 shift differential. Located in Columbus, OH, this role requires bending, seating, flanging, and top flanging material to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, and lean production goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED
- 3 years Related experience and/or training
- Willingness to learn and operate other manual fabrication operations such as shear, weld, punch press, paint, and CNC
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- The ability to read and understand production drawings and pass the exam
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment
- Must be available for Monday through Thursday, 2:30pm – 1:00am
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others

- Operation Monitoring: Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Selective Attention: The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
- Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic, addition and subtraction
- Active Listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
