Job Summary
Execute TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel, carbon steel, and exotic metals while adhering to Nuclear Quality Assurance programs and Welding Procedure Specifications. Perform straightening, cutting, and burning of various metals, utilizing calibrated precision instruments like a Faro Arm to ensure fabrication tolerances. Plan procedures, read mechanical drawings, and maintain traceability through weld mapping and record-keeping. Mentor team members, document work progress, and recommend process improvements within a Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with TIG Welding (GTAW)
- Minimum of five (5) years welding experience required or demonstrated equivalent experience through passing certification tests
- Test Position: 3G or greater
- Joint type: complete joint penetration
- Material: stainless steel
- Processes: TIG and MIG technologies
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings for proper applications of tolerances, fit, and process control
- Must be able to pass a company-paid drug screening and background check upon hire
