Job Summary
Fabricate steel and metal parts per work orders and blueprints by operating press brakes and shears. Adjust blade angles and pressure, position clamps and guides, and manually or mechanically lift workpieces to machine beds. Lay out cutting lines, tilt beds, and install fixtures to shear, bevel, or trim items. Operate portable shears for sheet metal and inspect finished work to verify dimensions. Shift runs 6 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday at Wastequip's Tyler, TX manufacturing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience operating a Press Brake and/or Shear
- 1+ years prior production experience
- Ability to read blueprints and measuring tape
- Basic math and problem-solving skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure)
- Experienced in a fast-paced production environment
- Able to pass all EHS required tests and clearances
