Job Summary
Fabrication Welder II will weld and fabricate metal machine parts following drafts and blueprints, perform gas metal arc welding (GMAW), assemble major components on equipment, test operation of equipment in shop, and inspect welds using precision measuring instruments. Duties include cutting, bending, drilling, tapping, assembly, and dismantling of metal structures, following engineering plans and drawings, operating tools and welding equipment, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and adhering to safety clothing and protective equipment requirements. The role requires reading blueprints, basic math and design skills, and hands-on fabrication experience in a shop setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- 1+ years of welding/shop experience
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of engineering and technology
- Ability to work with your hands
