Job Summary
Skilled fabrication technician responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to meet production targets and quality standards. Must read blueprints/drawings and measurements, operate heavy machinery (water jet, plasma table, pipe cutter, press brake, band saw, sandblast booth), and follow safety protocols with appropriate PPE. Tasks include performing assigned duties per supervisor, ensuring products conform to blueprints, maintaining 5S standards, reporting issues, meeting deadlines, collaborating with team, performing preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and handling documentation. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and being on your feet for the shift. Training and benefits include education reimbursement and comprehensive health and retirement plans. Shift is 2nd shift (5:15 pm to 4:15 am) in Flowery Branch, GA, within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use hand tools, grinders, pneumatic tools, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and measuring tools
- Ability to read blueprints and/or drawings and read measurements
- Work in a production environment with PPE and safety protocols
- Comfort with operating heavy machinery such as water jet, plasma table, pipe cutter, press brake, band saw, and sandblast booth
- Ability to stand and move for long periods; move around on feet up to 100% of shift
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers; maintain written paperwork
