Job Summary
Fabrication Support (Painter) at Miller Electric (ITW Welding) supports manufacturing operations by loading, painting, and finishing components. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining powder paint booths and systems, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting paint systems, inspecting finishes to ensure quality, loading/unloading parts on the paint line, performing quality checks, cross-training across Paint Department, and installing PEM nuts and weld nuts. The role emphasizes safety, effective teamwork, and reliability with potential pathways toward a Fabricator role through the Internal Fabrication Training Program. The position requires standing up to 12 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work overtime on occasion.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment
- Able to manage time efficiently and understand order scheduling and completion
- Innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Detail oriented
- Must be willing to cross-train
- Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing to work overtime (10-12 hrs.) when needed
