Job Summary
Fabrication Supervisor overseeing a 30-person shop encompassing laser cutting, metal punch, copper punch, press brake, welding, and painting. Responsible for coordinating daily tasks, ensuring safety and OSHA compliance, maintaining quality, tracking labor hours, and achieving production goals. Leads training and performance evaluations, resolves conflicts, and collaborates with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce waste. Requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and expertise in sheet metal, structural steel, and copper fabrication with ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school training preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication, welding, or manufacturing, with prior supervisory experience required
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal, structural steel, and copper fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and weld symbols
