Job Summary
Develops lay-up and assembly set-ups for composite structural parts and troubleshoots components for fabrication. Assembles, lays up, or supports parts via autoclave, GFM, and other processes, identifying nonconforming details and working with engineering to improve manufacturing methods. Fabricates detail parts using pre-preg or wet layup processes, locates station lines for ply installations, and installs components by bonding, sealing, and riveting to engineering specifications. Prepares and applies release agents to tooling and mixes adhesives per company specs. Requires a High School Diploma, related composites experience, and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Available for 1st and 2nd shifts with up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience related work experience in Composites
- Experience interpreting and working from blueprints, sketches and written and verbal instructions, in English
- Available to work any shift
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Desired Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience with set up and operate of GFM (ply cutter)
- Experience with set up and operate of automated fiber placement
- Experience with aerospace or automotive spray painting operations
