Job Summary
The Pipefitter Foreman oversees the fabrication of hydronic and steam systems, emphasizing labor productivity, quality control, and safety compliance. A significant part of the role involves supervising a team of 2–6 pipefitters and performing hands-on tasks such as cutting, threading, welding, and pressure testing various piping systems. Candidates are required to have a minimum of 5 years of pipefitting and/or welding experience and must demonstrate proficiency in interpreting job-specific drawings while ensuring adherence to company procedures. Responsibilities include managing workflow, training employees, and ensuring work quality according to specified documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ industrial/commercial pipefitting experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schematic form
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts like plane and solid geometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
