Job Summary
Supervise the Sheet Metal fabrication department from final plan design to completion, coordinating labor, materials, and schedules to ensure project accuracy. Direct supervision of the team while fabricating intricate dies, jigs, and fixtures from patterns, blueprints, and templates. Operate heavy equipment including hydraulic press brakes, plasma cutters, welders, and overhead cranes to execute complex specifications. Read and interpret trade practices, geometry, and component relationships to maintain total job assignment sequence. Ensure all contractual requirements are achieved while managing stock materials and adhering to established procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Five + years of experience with industrial and commercial applications
- Fork Lift license
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to operate the following equipment: Hydraulic press brake, hydraulic shear, Vulcan plasma cutting table, Pittsburg machine, TDC machine, Roller machine (three types), Hand break, Bead roller machine, Bead forming machine, Stomp shear, Magna bend, Pin spot machine, Drill press, Band saw, Plasma torch, Track torch, Mig and Tig Welders, Overhead Crane, and Forklift
