Fabrication (Shift A) - Fab Tradesperson

Job Summary
Perform welding and fabrication tasks using MIG, TIG, and Stick techniques to manufacture, modify, and repair metal structures and components across the facility. Read technical drawings and blueprints to complete jobs, then carry out structural modifications, safety guard installations, and framework builds. Support urgent breakdowns by fabricating or repairing parts in coordination with Maintenance teams, while maintaining tools and ensuring all work meets quality, durability, and safety expectations. Keep accurate records of jobs and materials, mentor apprentices, and participate in shutdowns and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to prioritize work with minimal operational disruption.
Required Qualifications
- MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication blueprints, and site specifications
- Knowledge of OH&S, GMP, and HACCP standards
- Ability to maintain a clean, well-organised work area
- Ability to comply with PPE and welding safety protocols
- Ability to participate in toolbox talks, shutdowns, project work, and continuous improvement initiatives
