Job Summary
Hands-on Fabrication Sheet Metal Lead responsible for leading daily sheet metal fabrication activities on the shop floor, while actively working on equipment. Responsibilities include operating and setting up fabrication equipment (press brakes, punch presses, plasma cutters, and similar machinery), reading and interpreting fabrication drawings to ensure tolerances and quality, coordinating workflow and prioritizing jobs to meet production schedules, enforcing safety standards, maintaining organized work areas, and addressing quality or production issues. The role requires proven sheet metal fabrication experience, hands-on equipment operation, ability to read drawings, and prior lead/supervisory experience, with a focus on craftsmanship, teamwork, and accountability in a production-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment
- Hands-on experience operating CNC or manual fabrication equipment
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
