Job Summary
Perform fabrication operations per engineering drawings and production schedules, reading blueprints and shop drawings to fit and assemble components to required tolerances. Operate saws, cutting equipment, MIG/TIG/Stick welders, forklifts, and overhead cranes to prepare materials and move finished products. Inspect completed work for quality standards, maintain a clean 5S work area, and report equipment or safety hazards to the foreman. Assist with inventory management and material handling within the warehouse while lifting up to 50 lbs. Work in a non-climate-controlled facility in Round Rock, Texas, with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of fabrication or manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated experience in: Welding (MIG,TIG and/or Stick), saws/material cutting and operations, mechanical assembly, fitting/fabrication, blueprint/drawing reading
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and material handling practices
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and micrometers
- Ability to perform all work in accordance with established company procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50LBS, walk, climb, use various equipment and perform physical work throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Forklift certification
- Overhead crane certification
- Welding certification
- Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
- Strong welding, fabrication, fitting, and assembly skills
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Understanding of safe material handling practices
- Effective problem-solving and communication abilities
- Ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and overhead lifting equipment
- Comfortable working around industrial noise, welding fumes, and moving equipment
- Adherence to established safety protocols
- Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled facility
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
