Job Summary
Fabrication Operator - 1st Shift responsible for fabricating electrical/electronic enclosures, performing setup and operation per production documents (SOP/MOPs), and maintaining quality per nVent specifications. Role includes learning and collaborating with the fabrication team, participating in continuous improvement, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and handling production materials, tooling, and inventory records. Requires willingness to learn various functions (grinding, forming, welding, spot welding) and adherence to safety procedures. Key skills include operating welding equipment (resistance spot welders, Tig spot guns, stud welding), use of a press brake, NC controller, material handling gear, and reading print specifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- Min. 1 year manufacturing fabrication experience
- Knowledge in manufacturing practices
- Knowledge in metal fabrication
- Skill to utilize machines and tools: Various welding equipment, Resistance spot welders, Tig spot guns, stud welding equipment, Press brake, NC controller, Material handling equipment: pallet jack, lift tables, wheeled carts, Safety equipment: safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing
