Job Summary

Layout and prepare components for tanks, heat exchanger assembly, and pipe spooling by reading blueprints and specifications. Fit up tanks, heat exchangers, and pipe spooling while occasionally directing welders, assistant metalworkers, and helpers. Perform hydrotests when specified, mark units for shipping, clean, and deburr. This day shift role involves working in cold conditions with noise exposure and requires lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and 100 lbs rarely.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to work any shift
  • Work overtime when required
  • Willing to comply with company rules and policies
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen
  • At least 3 years of experience pipe and plate fitting, preferably with stainless steel
  • Must be able to read blueprints and specifications
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and up to 100 lbs. rarely
  • Accurately read tape measure to 1/16"
  • Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to operate shear, press brake, drills, and grinders
