Job Summary
Fabrication Forklift Driver for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 2:00 pm–12:30 am) at Silent-Aire/Johnson Controls. Supports fabrication by delivering materials to the department, operating forklift equipment safely to move raw materials to fabrication machines, verifying material accuracy, and communicating with Supervisors. Maintains organization and adherence to safety policies, participates in lean practices (5S), and works as part of a team to ensure timely supply of materials and proper handling of materials throughout the production process.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- training in forklift operation and safety certifications preferred
- Must have a valid US Driver License
- Forklift experience
- Knowledge of inventory receiving, processing, and storage procedures
- Understanding of production line supply requirements and general production operations
- Experience with Sheet Metal
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency preferred
