Fabrication Engineering Technologist

Job Summary
Verify customer purchase orders and requirements, then prepare fabrication burning and shop prints using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Create material take-offs, work instructions, and work orders via Profit Key while procuring raw materials from vendors. Coordinate shipping of materials and finished projects with purchasing, vendors, and customers, and maintain standard procedures for all engineered work. Liaise with customers, vendors, sales, production, and quality teams, conduct project update meetings, and create GANT charts. Assist the shop floor and supervisors on project-related questions and issues. Perform fabrication engineering tasks to lead small or medium-sized projects effectively, working alternate hours and overtime when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with steel fabrications and processes
- Blueprint reading skills
- Knowledge of weld symbols and geometric tolerancing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask efficiently and work in fast paced / team environment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks
- Knowledge of ISO
- Knowledge of N 299.3
- Familiar with CWB processes
- Familiar with AWS processes
- Technical knowledge of welding
- Technical knowledge of steel fabrication
- Technical knowledge of the manufacturing process
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – email, word, excel, teams, and Microsoft planner
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Profit Key software
- Knowledge of Anchor Danly Manufacturing processes
- Able to create GANT charts
