Job Summary
Interpret specifications and contract documents to develop foundational knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems. Read and interpret code while learning the basics of shop drawing creation, file management, and technical communication. Collaborate with team members to produce models and shop drawings, striving for proficiency in Revit, Autodesk Fabrication, Navisworks Manage, Bluebeam, and Stratus. Spend time in the field to understand elements leading to successful projects and learn BOM, fabrication drawing, and Trimble layout basics. Begin understanding BIM financial impacts on projects. Requires high school diploma or GED, aptitude for technical means, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Includes 5% travel to job sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Aptitude for technical means and methods
- Analytical and structural mindset
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- 5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Climbing stairs
- Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Quiet environment
- Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Basic software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication, Bluebeam, Stratus) knowledge
- Basic trade (mechanical and/or plumbing) knowledge
