Job Summary
Fabrication Associate performs setup and maintenance of machines in the shop for pipe fabrication, measures and cuts pipe with band saw and/or torch, rolls and grooves single and double random lengths and threads/bevels pipe with Landis machines, moves pipe from yard to work areas, assembles pipe orders (single sticks or bundles), and maintains organized work supplies. Follows vital safety precautions for fabrication, cutting, assembling, stacking and shipping of pipe, and operates powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Prior fabrication experience is preferred but not required
- Outstanding math skills and the ability to calculate quantities of product on hand
- Experience and training in operating machinery for the use of cutting and threading pipe according to OSHA regulations preferred
- Ability to remain results-focused in the fast-paced customer service environment
- Ability to thrive in an inclusive environment
