Job Summary
Fabrication Assistant role supporting production: move, prepare, and verify metal materials; load/unload materials onto pallets and transport to workstations; hammer and chip metal pieces from sheets; grind and sand to remove imperfections; identify, tag, and stage work-pieces; verify materials meet specifications and quality standards; collaborate with supervisors to resolve fabrication issues; safely operate fabrication equipment including hoists, lift tables, and forklifts (company certification required); maintain a clean, organized work area; full-time with Day or Swing shifts; benefits include holidays, PTO, parental leave, health insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and more; emphasis on safety and quality in a fast-paced fabrication setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 months of related experience preferred
- Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math
- Familiarity with measuring tools
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions
- Experience with hand tools and air-powered tools
- Ability to operate or learn to operate fabrication equipment
- Physical ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to visual detail
- Exposure to industrial environment
